Charity walk for Prostate Cancer
On the 17th December 2019, we deposited a sum of £325 into ‘Prostate Cancer UK’s’ fund, which is the money we have raised during November and December 2019.
As two of us have been affected by prostate cancer, we took up the challenge to walk along the promenade between Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers, singing to people out for a walk or just enjoying the bracing sea breeze. It was energetic, fun and we certainly entertained many along the way.
We also sing with a Southampton barbershop harmony club, called Ocean Harmony and we invited our members to add to the total we raised on our challenge. They made a huge contribution to the total.
Finally we sang in concert with a Lymington based choir called ‘Cantaras’ and they also made a contribution to our efforts for Prostate Cancer UK.
